The EU Enlargement Commissioner Olli Rehn stated Thursday he was concerned about the use of hate language in Macedonian media with respect to Bulgaria and Greece.

The EU Commissioner for Enlargement Olli Rehn said Thursday he was worried by the use of hate language in the Macedonian media with respect to certain neighboring countries.
Rehn made this statement in response to a question posed during the session of European Parliament Foreign Affairs Committee by the Bulgarian MEP from the Party of the European Socialists Evgeni Kirilov, the EP website europarl.europa.eu reported.
Kirilov expressed his concern about the putting of a billboard in Macedonia showing the Greek flag with a Nazi swastika on it, and asked Rehn for comment.
"We are worried by the continuing use of hate language in certain Macedonian media directed not only against Greece but against Bulgaria as well", Rehn stated adding this attitude was anti-European and counter any standards of good neighborly relations.
