After the fall of Todor Zhikov in Bulgaria our TV media tried to convince us
that only the members of OMO-Ilinden represented a true Macedonian
organization among the local emigrants which number more than a million
Macedonians. So many of us assumed that in the present fateful and difficult
times we were experiencing, we would have someone to turn for help. On Skopje
TV appeared personalities such as the unemployed producer from Sofia, Georgi
Solunski, the suffering many times imprisoned and now old Sokrat Marlikov,
the writer Stoyan Georgiev-Tomovichin, Yordan Kostadinov and many others.
But comprehend that over our Macedonian heads hangs the threatening Serbo-Chetnik knife.
The Macedonian citizens go to sleep with a fear in their
hearts that in dawn's light there will be Serbian tanks in front of their
homes.
The Macedonian diplomacy headed by Kiro Gligorov and Denko Malevski have a
different perspective. Instead of the Croatian and Slovenian policy of first
establishing international contacts with our immediate neighbours (Bulgaria,
Greece and Albania) they went to Turkey and France - strategic and strong
Serbian allies - to seek recognition. Are not these the same Turks who for
over 500 years killed the Macedonians with no mercy and shall we forget
(there are still witnesses) how the French, helped by the Senegalese,
shoulder-to-shoulder fought against our leaders like Giorche Petrov, Dimo
Hajidimov, Petre Asev and countless others. And all that time they were
pillaging and destroying Macedonian villages after their inhabitants had been
brutally killed. The Paris-Belgrade alliance is very well known. The
Serbian army and Chetniks are at the moment ruthlessly and systematically
destroying Croatia. They tell us openly that the same awaits us if we follow
Croatia and Slovenia's path.
I AM DEEPLY TROUBLED WHY THE ACTIVISTS OF OMO-ILINDEN DO NOT RAISE THEIR VOICES
AGAINST THE GREATER SERBIAN AGGRESSION OF THE PEACE-LOVING NATIONS BUT PREFER
TO DIRECT THEIR PROTESTS AGAINST SOME PHANTOM VRHOVISTS AND GREATER-
BULGARIANS.
Members of OMO-Ilinden you should have clearly realized by now that for
Macedonia the danger does not come from Bulgaria but from SERBIA! All the
world can see this, only you cannot. Therefore, as a sovereign state, except
for Croatia and Slovenia, only Bulgaria recognizes us. Why aren't you asking
yourselves why Serbia does not recognize our sovereignty or are you in fact
adopting some form of Judas role? Members of OMO-Ilinden, this is not the
time to attempt to "throw sand in our eyes". Now I would like the following
questions addressed
- Is it true that the OMO-Ilinden member, Atanas Kiriakov, received from
the Yugoslavian (Serbian) consul in Sofia (Milenko Stefanovich) some
US$20,000 for his election campaign in Pirin Macedonia?
- Is it true that Sokrat Markilov has squandered a large sum of money
given to him from Skopje sources and is now excluded from the leadership of
OMO-Ilinden?
- Is it true that when members of OMO-Ilinden cross the Bulgarian-
Yugoslavian border they are exempted from paying the compulsory $200 exchange
fee?
- Is it true that OMO-Ilinden has constant contact with the Turkish
minority in Bulgaria?
- Is it true that at the CSCE session in Moscow the press conference which
the OMO-Ilinden group held was organized by the Yugoslav delegation? Further
is it true that a member of the Yugoslav delegation, a Serbian national, was
in fact a defacto military agent and why?
I have a lot of other questions to ask but will limit myself to these for the
present. I hope my kindred brothers from OMO-Ilinden who think as I do will
answer these questions. If a suitable reply is not received, either through
"Glas" (VOICE) or "Nova Makedonka",
THEN I WILL HENCEFORTH CONSIDER OMO-ILINDEN AS ANTI-MACEDONIAN
I reiterate ANTI-MACEDONIAN. I hope the reply
will be specific and clear so that I can make the appropriate conclusions.
Any attack directed personally against me insinuating that I am an agent of
Dimiter Gotsev, or a Vancho-Mihailovist or even a Vrhovist, will be instantly
rejected as the tactics of Serbia and Lazar Koleshevski.
But let it be known that I simply cannot understand people who present
themselves throughout Europe as some sort of Macedonians and at the same time
do not utter a single word in protest against Serbia, the chetniks or
Slobodan Miloshevich. A few days ago one of my comrades, only 20 years old,
a soldier somewhere in Serbia, was forcibly sent to Croatia where he was
killed - as reported - by an Ustashi bullet. But maybe the real truth is he
was shot in the back by a chetnik bullet. Every day on TV we hear endless
lists of new victims while our brothers from OMO-Ilinden "bash on empty straw
and distribute pots"!
Members of OMO-Ilinden, I am afraid I cannot reason you whatsoever, when
Liupcho Georgievski was elected you neglected to even congratulate him.
However you did not forget to pay homage to the traitor Stoyan Andov or his
servant Kiro Popovski. You were present at all the congresses of the Left-
Wing parties and tried to convince Branko Tsurvenkovski and company that you
are Macedonians. You will convince us you real Macedonians if you condemn
the official Serbian policy and let the Serbo-chetniks understand if they
enter Vardar Macedonia you are not going to remain with crossed hands. Only
in such a stand on your part will the whole Macedonian people regard you as
their own sons and proud Macedonians. Otherwise in the Macedonian history
you will be remembered as a handful of people who have renounced their kin
and memory.
Clean-up the ideological differences amongst yourselves and join us in the
defence of Macedonia before the anticipated aggression against Vardar
Macedonia.
